The School is very grateful to everyone who participated and contributed. We hope to see you all again next year.

On Friday, 10th of February at 10am all of the students and staff in our school participated in the 10@10 Operation Transportation Campaign. There was lots of practice in the weeks leading up to this. On the day everyone gathered in the playground and did the Macarena. It was a very enjoyable morning for all! Once again this year we will host a 5k Fun Run/Jog/Walk on Sunday March 12th, 2017 at 2pm. We will all gather at the Coral Leisure Centre, from 1pm, where registration will take place. The most wonderful time of the year!
This year we decided to have a whole school Christmas party on Sunday 11th December 2016. All of the children along with their parents, siblings, extended family, friends and neighbours attended. It was a truely fabulous day. The children, with the help of the staff performed six Christmas songs. Santa made a guest appearance and he had a very special gift for all of the good boys and girls in St. Oliver's Special School. Santa spend lots of time talking to our students and taking photographs before having to return to the North Pole. Parents had a lovely opportunity to meet and have a chat while the children enjoyed a Christmas disco and got their faces painted.

A huge thank you to AIB who provided sponsorship for the party, Eoin, our DJ for the day, Laura for facepainting, Santa, Mrs. Clause and everyone else who helped out behind the scenes.

November November was a very busy month in St. Oliver's Special School. All of our students worked very hard in their classes to achieve their individual goals and learn new skills. The students enjoyed their extra curricular activities; swimming, trips to the library for story time, gross motor play in Go Banana's and bowling. These trips would not have be possible each week without the support of our wonderful volunteers. Thank you to everyone involved. Over the midterm break, our students with the help of their parents created Christmas boxes for those children less fortunate that themselves. The Christmas Shoebox Appeal were delighted with our donation.

We are very grateful to DirectRoute Tuam who recently made a donation to our school, arising from the Health and Safety incentive scheme run on the M17/18 Motorway project.
